This is one of my favorite paintings that I’ve done. I feel a sense of stillness and peace, but also a sense of vitality from the flowers and trees. The horse rests in a field of lavender flowers, with the sun setting across the field creating a soft glow across the scene. I like to imagine that this horse is enjoying some respite in a cool field after a long summer day, and is simply resting in silence.
This painting was done in acrylic on a 8” x 10” canvas panel.
