These stickers are made of high-quality vinyl and are waterproof and UV resistant. They’re dishwasher-safe and highly durable in a variety of weather conditions!
Measures 3″ × 1.43″
Natural History Info: Pirate Perch (Aphredoderus sayanus)
This is a very special and weird fish. They are most closely related to cave fishes, and they are the only one in their genus! They have an odd anatomical feature – their anus is under their head rather than near the tail! It is thought that this allows them to fling their eggs forward into vegetation in stream banks. Pretty neat, eh? They are also nocturnal, so they are adapted to be very still throughout the day blending in with the shadows. They move slowly and stealthily. I find them very endearing and I love finding them in creeks in the piedmont of NC. They also have beautiful iridescent blue and purple shades in the sunlight.
