This painting features a mustang running freely at dawn, into the golden light of the sunrise. I enjoyed playing with the glowy highlights from the light, as well as making the mane flow in the wind. It represents a moment in time of a horse in pursuit of something in the distance – perhaps warmth from the sunlight, to catch up with its herd, or to simply run free.
The original painting was done in acrylics on a 8” x 10” canvas, and has sold.
