The horse in this piece is named Diamond, a Tennessee Walking Horse who was owned by my stepmother’s uncle in Georgia. Whenever we’d go there for holidays, I’d visit Diamond and hang out with him in the pasture and practice my photography on him. This artwork is from one of the photos I got of him, and I imagined what he would look like with the Northern Lights behind him and reflected in his eyes.
The original artwork was done in colored pencil and watercolor pencil on 9” x 12” watercolor paper. The original is available and comes already framed – please contact me if you are interested in purchasing it!
